College In the Schools (CIS) Opportunities

INFINITY Online offers certain courses as concurrent courses. If a student meets the requirements, they may take the course to receive College in the Schools (CIS) credit and also receive High School credit. If a student does not meet the requirements, but would like to take the course for High School credit only, they may elect to do so when they register for their course with Infinity.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

1.   Seniors must have a minimum cumulative end of the year GPA of 2.5 Juniors must have a minimum cumulative end of the year GPA of 3.0. This is for all high school work (grades 9, 10, 11, and 12).

How to Register for a CIS course with INFINITY?


Step 1. Enroll and register for the course with INFINITY Online on the Genius registration website. When requesting a course indicate in the comments box that the course is for CIS credit.

 

Step 2. Submit an application with Itasca Community College. If you are applying for a FALL 2017 Course After August 14th, 2017, you will need to Select SPRING semester 2018. If you are applying for a Spring 2018 Semester course after January 1st 2018, you will need to select Summer 2018 semester. ICC will then convert this to the proper semester.

 

Step 3. Have your High School send qualifying GPA (high school transcript) and qualifying test scores to Melissa Nielsen at Infinity Online: melissa.nielsen@mninfinity.org.

 

  • Note: You will not be officially enrolled in any CIS course until this information has been submitted and all qualifying criteria verified.
